'He Asked For Water...': Eyewitness Says He Saw General Rawat After Crash

A witness on the web site of the crash in Tamil Nadu that killed General Bipin Rawat and 12 others on Wednesday claims he noticed the General alive moments after the wreckage was discovered within the hills.

Shiv Kumar, a contractor, was visiting his brother – he works in a tea property — when the helicopter crashed yesterday afternoon close to Coonoor within the Nilgiris.

Shiv Kumar claims he noticed the Air Pressure chopper bursting into flames and falling. He and others rushed to the positioning.

“We noticed three our bodies fall…one man was alive. He requested for water. We pulled him out in a bedsheet and he was taken away by rescuers,” Shiv Kumar informed wantpassport.

He says three hours later, somebody informed him the person he spoke to was General Bipin Rawat, and confirmed him a photograph of the Chief of Defence Employees.

“I couldn’t imagine that this man did a lot for the nation…and couldn’t even get water. I couldn’t sleep all evening,” Shiv Kumar mentioned, tearing up.

General Rawat reportedly died on the best way to hospital.
