As Uttarakhand police made the first arrest within the Haridwar hate speeches case, Yati Narsinghanand, one of many spiritual leaders accused within the case, threatened the law enforcement officials with loss of life.
“Tum sab maroge (All of you’ll die),” Yati Narsinghanand informed the law enforcement officials when co-accused Jitendra Narayan Singh Tyagi was arrested at Roorkee yesterday.
Tyagi, previously generally known as Waseem Rizvi, is the primary accused to be arrested within the hate speech case during which provocative remarks had been made towards Muslims at a “Dharma Sansad”.
Uttarakhand Police have issued notices to Yati Narsinghanand and one other accused Sadhvi Annapurna, asking them to seem earlier than them.
In a video that has now circulated on social media, law enforcement officials are seen requesting Narsinghanand to cooperate as they take Tyagi into custody.
Seated in a automobile, he’s seen asking the officers why Tyagi was being arrested. The officers clarify that they need to make the arrest in reference to the instances filed towards him.

A former chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Shia Central Waqf Board, Waseem Rizvi “transformed” to Hinduism final month and took the title of Jitendra Singh Narayan Tyagi. Narsinghanand, chief priest of Ghaziabad’s Dasna Devi temple who is understood for making controversial remarks, had organised the ceremony.
As the officers hold insisting, Narinsinghand is heard saying, “Tum sab maroge, apne baccho ko bhi…(All of you’ll die, your kids too…”
Tyagi was arrested in Roorkee, Haridwar Senior Superintendent of Police Yogendra Rawat informed information company PTI.
Narsinghanand, Tyagi and Annapurnna are amongst greater than 10 individuals named within the FIRs lodged within the speeches case.
The primary arrest within the case comes after the Supreme Courtroom on Wednesday directed the Uttarakhand authorities to submit an affidavit inside 10 days on motion taken within the case.
